All gardeners love to visit other gardens for ideas and inspiration and here are a few suggestions to ease those cravings:
The Canadian Tulip Festival (May 8-18th) has been offering all their performances, programming, and public participation ONLINE. They will continue to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the Liberation of the Netherlands with all Canadians and the world through their website, social media, and on their new YouTube Channel which is launching soon! Nestled in the Charlevoix region of Quebec is gardener Frank Cabot’s fabled Les Quatre Vents (The Four Winds), one of the world’s most beautiful private gardens. In this tour video, filmed shortly before his death at the age of 86, Cabot reflects on the meaning of gardening and its impact on our lives.

- The first peony to bloom in my garden is Paeonia tenuifolia. It lasts 2-3 days.
- My yellow trilliums are thriving.
- The flower heads for my lady’s slipper, Cypripedium parviflorum, broke off just as they were opening up. The plants are on the left edge of the photo.
